Tucked into the island's small but lush rainforest belt in the southwest hills, the canopy zip line tour is Antigua's headline land adventure. A linked course of zip lines, aerial walkways and suspension bridges threads between platforms high among the trees, giving you a bird's-eye view of the forest and glimpses out toward the coast. The experience is anchored by the Antigua Rainforest Zipline attraction.
The course suits first-timers and families as much as thrill-seekers. Guides fit and check your harness, brief you on braking, and accompany every group from platform to platform, so no prior experience is needed. Lines range from gentle introductory runs to longer, faster cables, and there are shorter options for younger or more cautious visitors. Closed-toe shoes are required.
The setting is part of the attraction. The zip line sits just off the famous Fig Tree Drive, the winding scenic road through the hills where mango, banana and old-growth trees crowd the roadside. Many visitors combine the two, and the nearby Wallings Nature Reserve adds rainforest hiking trails.
The closest coastal base is Jolly Harbour on the west coast, an easy drive away, making it simple to follow a morning in the canopy with an afternoon on the beach.
