Arrive and Settle Into the North Coast
Land at V.C. Bird International Airport, pick up your rental car, and make the short drive to Dickenson Bay on the calm northwest coast. This is the easiest beach base for a first visit, with a long, gentle stretch of sand and plenty of places to eat. Drop your bags, change, and get your first swim in.
Settle into the day on Dickenson Bay Beach, where the water is shallow and protected and the loungers, paddleboards, and beach bars are right there. If you have energy, rent a board for an easy paddleboard around the bay. Otherwise, ease into island time with a cold Wadadli and an early swim before the heat peaks.
Stay close to base tonight. Walk the beachfront for dinner and order fresh fish or a plate of Antiguan saltfish while the sun drops over the water. An early night sets you up for a full day in the south tomorrow.
Lunch at a Dickenson Bay beach bar; casual seafood dinner on the beachfront. Try a local Wadadli beer or a rum punch.
Rental car from the airport (about 15 to 20 minutes to Dickenson Bay). Drive on the left. Keep small cash in EC$ and US$ for tolls of the beach-bar kind.
~$160 per person
Pick up bottled water, sunscreen, and snacks at a supermarket near St. John's on the way in. Confirm your catamaran or stingray booking for Day 3 tonight if you have not already.
